Announcement: Improvements to the activity timeline

Hey everyone, Josh here from the Compass product team and I'm super excited to share that a handful of improvements to the activity (events) timeline have been released to all customers 🎉 Have you ever wanted to filter out certain types of events to reduce the visual noise? What about zoom in/out to get a better view of what's changed around a component and its dependencies? Want to just see all the recent alerts or deployments for all the components your team owns? Rejoice, these things are now possible!

You can filter by event types as well as properties of some event types. The best part? The filters are URL parameters so you can share filtered views to component or team activity.

You'll also find zoom controls to make it easier to look at events that happened in close succession or zoom out to see what's changed over a longer period of time.

The activity timeline can be found on the homepage, the component page, and the team page and these new features are present on all of them.

Love the URL parameters to create deep links!

And surely in your backlog already: Please also surface those as smart links so that the activity view can be embedded in Confluence pages and Jira issue comments etc. - works great for the component catalog after all :)
