We’re ending support for older versions of Jira and Confluence Cloud Migration Assistants

In our ongoing commitment to providing the best experience to our customers, we are excited to announce significant improvements in the latest versions of Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) and Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant (CCMA). With enhanced reliability, performance, and support, we strongly encourage everyone to upgrade to the latest versions within 6 weeks of their release.

We’ll no longer support the following versions:

  • ❌ Jira Cloud Migration Assistant 1.7.1 and lower

  • ❌ Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant 3.3.6 and lower

*Note: Atlassian will not provide support for older versions of CMAs. Only upgrade assistance will be available for all older CMA versions.

What are the benefits of upgrading?

The latest versions of the CMAs offer unparalleled benefits, for a smoother, faster, and more secure migration experience, like:

  • Increased reliability compared to previous versions: CCMA 3.4.6 (20% higher migration success rate than 3.3.12), JCMA 1.9.2 (55% higher migration success rate than 1.7.5)

  • Improved performance and speed: CCMA 3.4.6 (19 x faster ) vs. CCMA 3.3.12; JCMA 1.9.1 (2 x faster) vs. JCMA 1.7.5.

  • Continued support and compatibility with the latest media APIs for a secure migration

Additionally, older CMAs use deprecated media APIs. By upgrading to the latest version, you can prevent potential compatibility issues and security vulnerabilities.
