Hi I am getting this message when I try to merge one particular branch into another.  This is not conflicted merge.  I understand I have been given full write access to the repo and as I understand it nothing else has been changed IRO my rights on this repo which I used to merge in regularly.

I would be grateful of some detailed steps that could be followed to resolve this issue.

Hi Andrew,

This message shows if there are branch restrictions for the branch you are trying to merge into. Branch restrictions allow admins to configure which users can write to certain branches or merge pull requests into certain branches:

You can reach out to one of the repo's admins and ask them what branch restrictions they have configured for the branch you are trying to merge into, and what workflow you need to follow if you need to merge.
