unable to access to bitbucket.org from aws

cemipekcisd March 22, 2018

my 2 ec2-instances in aws-frankfurt zone cannot access to bitbucket.org
I have tried ping and traceroute the domain. nothing concrete for me. restarted the instance. nothing changed. ping to google etc works fine. both servers are running normally except this issue.
any ideas?

Hi! Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately in this case, the issue itself is with AWS so there's nothing we can do. At the moment, Bitbucket is unavailable to customers routing from our eu-central-1 region. We are in direct contact with Amazon while they continue working to fix the issue.

As a workaround, if you are able to use a VPN you should be able to connect using a region outside of the eu-central-1 region.

Please follow https://status.bitbucket.org/incidents/xcyz4zydg4q8 for the latest status updates.

Best regards,

Ana

Hi Ana,

I am getting the same issue.as my issue is that i need to add the outbound for bitbucket.org for accessing the bitbucket from server.

As i added the outbound with 104.192.143.0/24 with 7999 =. it was working on yesterday. but not working now.

I think bibucket.org is refering to dynamic ip.thats why .
can you please help me know any solution. As i have to make my application live. otherwise i need to use any other source for repo

Thanks

bitbucket.org does not have port 7999 open, and it does not currently have a dynamic IP. Can you provide any more information about the problems you're seeing, and what exactly you've been doing to get them?

If you're trying to get from your system to bitbucket.org, then the addresses listed on that page are all correct. HTTPS traffic to bitbucket.org is on the usual port 443, and SSH traffic is on the usual port 22. (There's also altssh.bitbucket.org, which listens for SSH traffic on port 443, but if you control the firewall then you probably won't need that.)

If you're asking about having bitbucket.org send you a webhook or a push from Pipelines, then the source port will be dynamic - but probably not 7999.

If you're asking about Bitbucket Server, which is not bitbucket.org, then that's a completely different question.
