If you use a recent Git plugin, it has support for stash. See this answer for more details.

that works for jenkins, but doesn't seem to work for hudson. We still have a bunch of hudson servers running. how do I get the hudson repository browser to work with stash?

You would probably have to try and port over the changes to the git plugin for Hudson, or upgrade your Hudson installs to Jenkins.

ok, thanks. I had a quick look at the code difference between the git browser plugins between hudson and jenkins and there seemed to be slight differences. been asking the team to upgrade to jenkins for a while now, perhaps this will finally get that started.
