Good morning,
We've just migrated from Gitlab to Bitbucket Cloud and are curious if Bitbucket has an option to directly upload files into the repository via web interface without installing a local client application or using a command line? Gitlab has a "Replace" button which allows you to upload a new version of the file. Github has an "Upload Files" button with the similar functionality. But Bitbucket doesn't seem to have such an option.
Probably there is some add-on which could provide this functionality?
I would be really grateful for any information!
Indeed, currently, Bitbucket does not provide any option to directly upload a file, if not through Git itself.
Although it is possible to create new text files from the UI, name and edit them, this does not provide an option to browser your local files to upload.
We do have an open Feature Request in order to add this ability to the platform:
Our development team will give a first-hand update through that ticket if any progress is made, so I suggest keeping a watch for it. Please note that all enhancements are implemented with this policy in mind.
Cheers,
Mat
Hi Mateus,
what is the timeline here please? I am really wondering on why such a basic feature is missing.
Cheers,
Deniz

Hey @Capkan.Deniz,
At the moment, we have no specific ETA on this feature. Our development team will update the public ticket if there is any progress so you can start watching it to get notifications for any updates.
I'd also advise reviewing our Features Implementation policy for more information on how features are prioritized and implemented:
