"Connection closed by remote host"

medhit March 1, 2022

Hi guys,

When i try to do everything like push, pull or clone i always get this error:

"Connection to bitbucket.org closed by remote host."

I set up anything but i still can't user SSH.

Here is the "ssh -v git@bitbucket.org" output:

Hi, @medhit, thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community.

It's hard to say what's happening because there are roughly 20 lines of more verbose output missing that would tell us details about network settings that could potentially cause the connection to close. In this case, could you please share a verbose using -vvv with us?

If you could also share the extra verbose output of a clone operation, this could help us to identify what is happening here. Just please remember to remove any private information before posting it here.

For testing purposes, can you connect the device you are using to a different network, e.g. 4G, and see if you can connect to Bitbucket? And is the connection failing only when using the SSH method or is the same happens when you use the HTTPS as well?

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Caroline
