error connecting to bitbucket server via SourceTree

When I try to connect to bitbucket server using Sourcetree I get the following error:

Failed to check login for user [myusername]
Unable to connect to the host service
An error occurred while sending the request.
Unable to connect to the remote server
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:8888

Why is this trying to use a locahost IP address to connect to my server? I don't have bitbucket server installed locally or anything and I don't have any entries for it in my hosts file.

any suggestions?

This ended up being an issue with Fiddler being installed and routing all requests through a proxy on my machine.  I had to remove an entry in my machine.config where the proxy was configured.

works now.
