bitbucket / git bash / ssh: Connection reset by peer

I am using git bash on Windows 7. I have set-up an SSH key following this article, but the final step ( ssh -Tv ) ends with the error message "ssh_exchange_identification: read: Connection reset by peer".

Any ideas what is going wrong?
