apt-get update fails in Bitbucket Pipelines

One of the first steps in my Bitbucket Pipelines build is an apt-get update command. But it fails without any output as to why? Any ideas what's going on?

I made a different container to skip the apt-get update, but it didn't help. It again fails on the first step (a cp command). Probably some kind of bug in Pipelines.
