Workspace and Username: No Default Workspace

I registered account and tried to add workspace, but there was ID conflict. I red here, that there must be default workspace "When registering, the app will check for a unique username and workspace name that are the same. After registering, these can be changed.". Why it is not work now?

Hello @Artyom Kadanin ,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

The workspace ID and username must be globally unique across the entire platform. We have recently released a change where the workspace and user account are now separate entities, so there will be no concept of personal/default workspace going forward.

So when you create an account, we will not automatically create a default personal workspace that is attached to your account. You can still create as many workspaces as you want though, but they will be not attached to a user.

The difference is that you will not be able to have a workspace ID equal to your username, as those IDs need to be unique.

Hope that helps to clarify your questions!

Thank you, @Artyom Kadanin !
