hello!

I'm wondering why to clone a private repo on my pc with https protocol does not ask for my user name and password ?

According to what I read, clonning a private repo with https protocol should require entering my password everytime..

Nope. You might try on a general-purpose git forum since nobody is answering here. I don't even know whether your understanding is correct that https SHOULD prompt every time.

Are you using the git command line client, or other software on your computer? Windows or Mac?
