What do you recommend for a subversion tool that would work well with Crowd?

I am looking for a Subversion tool that would work well with Crowd. What are other people using? What do people recommend?

Hi Robert,

Generally it can be done by integrating Crowd with Apache, and then, using mod_dav_svn. We have a good documentation about this procedure here:

I'd already used it and it works fine.

Best regards,

Robert,

If you are interested there is some tight integration with Stash and Crowd. Atlassian has the following doc that goes into detail on how you can use your crowd users and permission schemes.

I'm sure you know that Stash is a Git tool. There is a Subgit addin for stash that can hel you convert your svn repo into git.

Migrate from Subversion to Git because Stash supports Crowd? Seriously? ;)

It's a possible upgrade path. Our company is deprecating all svn repos in favor of git. I totally agree that it may not be the best option, but it is not that far fetched.

So the interesting issue would be: why is your company replacing Subverion by Git?

Robert Galvin August 26, 2013
Based upon my companies software design process, subversion is a better tool for us. Git would not fit well in our current process. Basically we either need to change our process to fit the Git tool, or we can find a tool that will fit our process.

If you have a JIRA instance, the Subversion Plus might be a good choice:

It's being using by a lot of companies and with good ratings and reviews.
