WRT the SSH key change, not clear on whether Access Keys are affected

Hi Everyone,

We recently received this blog post for a SSH key change for Bitbucket,
https://bitbucket.org/blog/ssh-host-key-changes?utm_source=alert-email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ssh-key-rotation_EML-15878&jobid=106067432&subid=1661400348.

I wanted confirmation for the following, we have a code updation script in our AMIs.
These scripts pull our latest code using an SSH key that is configured in Repository Settings -> Access Keys.

Will this change affect this setup?

Thanks in advance,
Firdaus Aga

Hi Firdaus,

All SSH connections to Bitbucket Cloud are affected (including those that use Access keys). However, this does not mean that they will necessarily break, as many SSH clients will switch to one of the new host keys automatically.

Please follow the steps in the section WHAT YOU NEED TO DO in the blog post to identify if your client is impacted and how to configure the client to use the new host keys.

We have also created the following FAQ page, which includes some technical questions and answers:

Kind regards,
Theodora
