Hi Team,
We have a user who is unable to authenticate using VS code or login to atlassian community. She is being redirected to 'Your Work' tab everytime on login through browser or VS code.
Hi @anisa_shaikh and welcome to the community!
You are reporting several different issues here:
1. User unable to log in from browser to community
Log in to community is done with the user's Atlassian account, same as in bitbucket.org.
You mentioned the tab 'Your Work', and this is the tab that shows by default when a user logs in to https://bitbucket.org/ from browser and is then redirected to a Bitbucket workspace.
2. VS Code error
Can you please let me know:
https://bitbucket.org/site/oauth2/authorize?client_id=<some_client_id>&response_type=code&state=<string>
Kind regards,
Theodora
Hi Theodora, thanks for your prompt response.
1. User unable to login -
When clicked on Log in button the user is prompted to enter their email and then is redirected to Atlassian "Your Work" page. After which the user is not redirected anywhere else.
If user goes back to the original community home page, it still shows the Sign Up and Log In buttons which indicates that the user could not login to the community
There are no error messages anywhere at all.

2. VS code error:
The user is on the latest VS code extension version which is 1.96.3
The version of atlassian extension is 3.2.2
Yes the user is trying ot login by clicking the Login to Bitbucket Cloud button which takes her to the chrome tab where she inputs her email and then is redirected to the "Your work" atlassian page
On the VS code end, the spinner on the top right keeps spinning and after a while it gives error "Authorization did not complete in the time allotted. Please try again"

Hi Anisa,
Thank you for the info. The two issues sound related.
Can you please ask the user to clear all cookies and cache in Chrome and then try both operations again? Please note that clearing cookies means she'll be logged out from any sites she is currently logged in in Chrome.
If the problem still persists after that, please let me know the following, so I can better help you:
1. Is this the login page the user sees, when she is prompted to enter her email?
2. If so, after providing her email and clicking Continue, is she asked to provide a password, or does she get redirected to an SSO page?
3. Can you please provide a screenshot of the page "Your work" that your user sees? If there is any private data in the screenshot, please blur them before sharing it here.
Kind regards,
Theodora
