Storage in Stash

Bill McGowan September 10, 2012

I am planning on evaluating Stash. We use a database server for all our other Atlassian products, so I was natually considering using this same database server for Stash.

If you setup an external database for Stash, does it store the repository files in the database, or on the filesystem? (or does it simply store other info in the db?).

Stash stores the repositories on disk and not in the database. The database is used for other information, such as configuration and user data.

Hi Blazej,

That is correct. Your STASH_HOME/data directory will contain all the repositories you store in Stash.

Cheers,

Stefan

So I need the sufficient amount of disk space on my Stash server machine to store all repositories ?
