Reviewer groups to be used in the default reviewers

Hello,

• It is possible to create a reviewer group.
• It is possible to use that group for the review of a PR.
• So why can't I use that group in the default reviewers of the repository?

Did I do something wrong? Or is there a functionality missing here?

Hi Franz,

In Bitbucket server/datacenter you can build your own repository reviewer groups - https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/reviewer-groups-for-pull-requests-1064084872.html and add them as reviewers when you create the pull request as you have already implemented.

Declaring reviewer groups as default reviewers is still a missing feature.

We have solved this problem with the Workzone app - you can declare default reviewer groups

• per source and target branch
• per file/path/module 
• use repository reviewer groups _and_ AD groups

You can further specify required approval quotas per group (or one for all groups) to make sure at least N members of each group have approved before the PR can be merged.

... forgot to say - same functionality is also available in Workzone for Bitbucket Cloud should you have moved to cloud by now.
