Hi everyone, after deleting a branch through the web ui we are not seeing our Repository size updating and we are near the 4 gb alert. We've also followed these steps with no luck.

I think we may be missing a git gc from the Atlassian side? This is our (private) <redacted>.

Thanks!

Hello @javierdeazkue , and welcome to the community!

I went ahead and triggered a GC for the repository you shared, which reduced the size back to 970MB.

Now that GC is completed, we highly recommend you have everyone on your team remove their old copies of the repository and do a fresh clone of it. Since the old clones have a dirty history, it's better to delete them, so you don't risk pushing the dangling objects back into your cleaned repository, which would inflate its size again.

Also, in order to protect your privacy, I've edited your questions to remove the repository name as this is a public forum.

Thank you, @javierdeazkue !
