Repository size exceeds limit

Hi,

Bitbucket showing a  warning that size of my repo exceeds 2GB .when i checked my repository i noticed that it used 2.09 GB of 4 GB. i tried resetting last commit.but it didnt helped.

Can you please run git gc for the remote repository?

Hi @Eobin G and welcome to the community!

I ran a git gc on the repository that was over 2 GB and its size has now been reduced.

Resetting the last commit and pushing is something that works if your repo is over the 4 GB limit. If your repo is below the 4 GB limit, you can create a question in community and request a git gc.

We have a feature request to allow users to trigger a git gc on their remote repos that you can vote for: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BCLOUD-11593
