Repo size on Bitbucket website is different from local repo

Karim Assylbek August 28, 2020

Hello,

 I have a problem with my repo. It shows that my repo size is 1.99GB of 2GB.

I have executed the recommended steps to delete large files with the BFG Method.

When i execute "git count-object -n" the report shows:

$ git count-objects -v
count: 11
size: 2
in-pack: 0
packs: 0
size-pack: 0
prune-packable: 0
garbage: 0
size-garbage: 0

Hi @Karim Assylbek, welcome to the Community!

I've run a git gc on your repository and the size has decreased from 2 GB to 85.5 KB. Usually, an automated GC will run on the background, but if this doesn't happen feel free to contact us again and we'll run them manually for you :)

Have a good day,

Ana
