Repo admin capabilities (add/delete group members)

I am the dev lead/release manager for our team. we have a repo that i am an admin of.

and i need to be able to create a group and add/delete people from it, but from what i understand that you have to be 'Global Admin' to be able to do that.

Is that true? i guess then i don't understand the security model.

How can we delegate the group maintenance to someone other than Global Admin

Hi @sheidas,

Repositories in Bitbucket Cloud are owned by workspaces and user groups are available in each workspace's settings.

You can find more info on workspaces here:

In order to be able to access a workspace's settings and user groups, you need to belong to a user group that has administartor access to the workspace. If you are an administrator of certain repositories only (but not a workspace admin), you can add/remove users and existing user groups to/from a repo, but you don't have access to the user groups page.

You can talk with one of the existing admins of the workspace you use and request to be added to a user group that has admin access to the workspace, or request that they create a new user group and add certain users/emails to it.

If you don't know who the workspace admins are, please feel free to let me know and I can create a support ticket for you so that we provide you with the names of the admins.

Kind regards,
Theodora
