We are trying to migrate all our master branches to main. Following:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/bbkb/how-to-rename-a-branch-from-master-to-main-using-local-git-commands-1189787463.html
When we go back to the bitbucket ux, Repository setings/details->advanced, the Main branch pulldown has master plus 9 other branches, but not main. We have no way to select main.
The branching model has main selected for the development branch, no production branch.
Other repos we have done here all worked perfectly, just this one repo has 10 branches shown but not the main we wish to select.
Hi Rob!
I believe this occurs because the dropdown for the main branch shows only 10 branches maximum.
It is possible to find a branch other than the 10 displayed if you type the branch name. Simply select the dropdown of the Main branch in repo settings, and then type main. You should then see the branch named main and any other branches that may match this pattern.
Is this something that works for you?
Kind regards,
Theodora
Thanks, that worked (wasn't immediately obvious), Cheers
Rob
