Remove Technical Contact



I'm the primary billing contact for my site and the technical contact. We subscribe to Bitbucket, Jira and Confluence. Our Jira and Confluence invoices are configured correctly in that they are being sent to myself and a secondary email for our billing department,  but I can't seem to remove an old employee as the technical contact for our Bitbucket Invoices or add a secondary email. How can I manages the emails for the bitbucket invoices? I can't find it in our workspace settings under Plans and Billing.


I didn't create this bitbucket account so its possible that the account owner is the same as this former employee (even though they are no longer a user that has access to the workspace). So if I have to be the account owner to do this, how do I change the account ownership? 


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Josh,

Technical and billing contacts can be added/removed via, it is not possible to do so via workspace Settings.

I assume that you are an administrator of the workspace in question?

If you are an administrator of this workspace, and you don't see the Bitbucket license listed in, you can contact the support team responsible for billing, and ask them to let you know who is the billing/technical contact for this workspace.

If the user that is billing/technical contact is still with your company, then this user can add you as technical/billing contact as well. If the user is not with your company anymore, you can ask the support team whether it's possible that they add you.

You can open a support ticket via, in "What can we help you with" select "My account", in "Select a topic" select "Update account contact details".

In the "Give us more details" field, make sure to mention the URL of the Bitbucket workspace where you want to add/remove technical/billing contacts (not the one of your personal Bitbucket account).
