I created a ssh key and I can access read/write all the projects in the Workspace, can I add a readonly ssh key?

Hi Harold and welcome to the community!

We call read-only keys access keys and it is possible to add them either to a certain repository or to a certain project of a workspace. Access keys that are added to a project give read-only access to all repos of that project.

You will need to have admin permission to a repo to add repository access keys, and admin permission to a project to add project access keys. The step to add access keys are the following:

Repository access keys

  1. Open a repository on Bitbucket's website
  2. Select Repository settings from the left sidebar
  3. Select Access keys from the new left sidebar
  4. You can add a repository access key on that page

Project access keys

  1. While viewing a certain workspace on Bitbucket's website, select Projects from the menu bar at the top
  2. Select a certain project from the project list
  3. Select Project settings from the left sidebar
  4. Select Access keys from the new left sidebar
  5. You can add a project access key on that page

You can add the same SSH key as an Access key to multiple repositories or projects, but you cannot add that same key in your personal settings or in a workspace's SSH keys.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

Kind regards,
Theodora
