Is it correct that sorting ignores special characters?

My sorting is

  1. repo-test-c
  2. repo-testing-b
  3. repo-test-w

I would expect something like this (or inverted)

  1. repo-test-c
  2. repo-test-w
  3. repo-testing-b

Hi @mfs,

Just a heads up, I removed the repo URLs and names from your post to comply with our privacy policy, as this is a public forum. I replaced them with some dummy names that reproduce the issue.

I will reach out to our development team for more details, I will get back to you when I have an update.

Kind regards,
Theodora

Hi @mfs,

I reached out to the development team about this. We leverage our database's sorting framework to organize the list of repositories on the project page and that framework seems to ignore special characters.

I have created a request in our issue tracker to change this behavior:

You can add your vote to that ticket (by selecting the Vote for this issue link)  and add yourself as a watcher (by selecting the Start watching this issue link) if you'd like to get notified via email on updates.

Implementation of features is done as per our policy here and any updates will be posted in the feature request.

Kind regards,
Theodora
