I'm currently facing an issue where it seems that port 22 (SSH) is being filtered for my IP address, and I’m unable to establish a connection to pull or push code. I’ve tried connecting from different networks, and the issue seems to be isolated to my specific IP. I haven't made any recent changes to my firewall or network configurations.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue with port 22 filtering? Could this be related to any security measures on the Atlassian side, or is there something I should look into on my network setup? Any insights on how to troubleshoot or resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
It is unlikely that your IP address would be blocked by us unless your IP address originates from a country sanctioned by the US (ie Crimea Region of Ukraine, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Sudan). This is especially true if you have tried connecting from different networks as they would each have their own unique IP address.
I would suggest checking your firewall/VPN configuration (especially if using ZScaler). You can also use telnet to determine if the port is open:
telnet bitbucket.org 22
If you need further support, you can also raise a ticket directly with our support team so we can check to ensure your IP address is not being blocked and also suggest further troubleshooting commands. The output of both would not be appropriate to share in a public forum such as community. You can do so by raising a ticket with Bitbucket Cloud as the product and your companies full paid workspace URL:
If you have any issues raising a ticket, please let me know your timezone so I can raise one on your behalf in the appropriate support timezone.
I hope this helps.
Cheers!
