No button to create an issue

Anina Roche June 27, 2018

Error BB.PNGI've attached a screenshot of my picture. In the instructions, it says that there is supposed to be a "Create Issue" button in the center, but there isn't. How do I create an issue?

Hi Anina,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

In order to create an issue you first have to enable the issue tracker feature for the repository. From the repository select settings, select issue tracker and then select if the issue tracker should be private or public. Take a look at Enable an issue tracker for more information.

Hey @Anina Roche,

From the screenshot it looks like you are accessing the "Issues" link from the Bitbucket dashboard.

I can see that from the URL:

https://bitbucket.org/dashboard/issues

The "Create issue" button is only available when accessing the "Issues" link within a repository

The URL will be like this:

https://bitbucket.org/<team>/<repository>/issues

If that's not already the case, you'll need to Enable the issue tracker on that repository.

Cheers,

Caterina - Atlassian
