When I add a new repo, it's adding a .gitignore for me and creating an initial commit. When I go to connect a project to the repo its rejecting because there is already a commit ahead of what should be my first commit. I need my first commit to actually be my first commit.
Also, the new repo used to give me some instructions which were handy. I could just copy and paste the git remote add... now I have to type it out. I work with git a lot, so anything that saves time is great.
Why the change? Is there a way to control how new repos are created?
nevermind, i figured it out. You can select no gitignore when you create the repo.
