Need to migrate bitbucket from 5.x vesion

Hello,
Currently we are bitbucket version 5.x running on server at out premises. Now we are planning to migrate bitbucket to client location on latest version. Can we migrate it without upgrading the source bitbucket version? Or we need to be on specific version of bitbucket for migration. Also help me if there is document to do the migration from version 5.X to latest.
