Need help for connection to git

Harald Konnerth April 16, 2020

I try to use in the internal Accenture network the bitbucket git service.

When trying to push, it asks for credentials . I enter the Accenture credentials and they do not work, in Eclipse it says after entering several times, it is not authorized. Screenshots attached.

git:

git push -u origin master
fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://innersource.accenture.com/scm/scd/springcontexttest.git/'

I tried both from Eclipse and git.

I need help with authentication to git with bitbucket.

Thank you,

Hi Harald,

I am trying to do git clone https://.... innersource git repo. It's always asking for username and password. Not sure where to configure them. Can you help?

yes.

go to  Control Panel\User Accounts\Credential Manager - Windows Credentials - Generic Credentials   and update credentials with current password and reboot windows.

To resolve this issue, you need to follow the following steps if you are using VS Code:

  1. You need to generate API Token
  2. Go to innersource
  3. Click on Profile Icon on Top Right of your Browser Screen
  4. Click on API Token Authentication. Under 'My API tokens'-> Click on Button New API Token
  5. Give a new API Token Description and then Create API Token with Read and Write as Token Scope
  6. Try to clone your repository now. Username will be your Accenture id without '@Accenture.com' while Password will be the Secure Token Generated
