I had a <username>@gmail.com account to login and manage my account but it was deleted. Can I assign a new gmail account?

You can associate a new gmail address to your Atlassian Account, this in turn will ensure that Bitbucket Cloud can be logged in using this new email address - we have documentation related to this below:
