Login problem to Bitbucket repositories

i have a Bitbucket git repository, and i am using source tree on my local machine. when i am trying to push changes to the remote repository or fetch remote changes i am asked to type in my bitbucket password.

when i type my password it asks me to do it again and again and after about four times it popups an error message saying it was unable to connect:

" fatal: Authentication failed for 'http://bittbucket.org ....' "

i am sure i am using my correct bitbucket password because i have been able to use it to login to my user in the bitcucket website. i have also tried to change it a few times but still it's not working.

what am i doing wrong?

thanks alot,
