Is there a way to open markdown links in a new tab?

Markdown in Bitbucket allows you to add a link, like so:

[link](http://url)

Some versions of markdown allow you to pass an object after this link to specify that the url should be opened in a new tab.

[link](http://url){target="_blank"}

Is there any equivalent in Bitbucket that will allow you to force links to open in a new tab?
