Is there a way to get Bitbucket dashboard to sort Jira issues in a way that makes sense?

Brian Fett February 3, 2022

When I look at my dashboard (https://bitbucket.org/dashboard/overview) it has a section for Jira issues, but it works poorly:

1: it defaults to showing only 5 issue, which wouldn't matter so much except

2: it doesn't seem to order them in any way (certainly no configurable way) and

3: it includes closed issues

@Brian Fett

Welcome to the community 🙂

Bitbucket dashboard shows the issues assigned to you and if there is none it will be empty!!

It can show up to 8 issues

Interesting to know yours is 5?

Can you assign yourself and see if we can get more

For closed it should be resolved, meaning the resolution should be set

Thanks

I have 10 issues assigned to me, and I can click the button to show more (which I think shows me all 10 of them), but that is an extra step. If the issues were ordered more sensibly (eg. In Progress, In Review, open, hold, closed) it likely wouldn't be needed.

As to the second part, that is another thing I was confused about as our issues do not seem to be resolving when closed, nor can I see a way to adjust the state of these items from "unresolved" in our system. Perhaps that is a separate question I should ask about in the Jira questions.
