Installing Bitbucket Migration Assistant

I am trying to install the Bitbucket Migration Assistant via UPM (is that correct) but am only seeing a button to Request.  I believe I am an Administrator.

Are there detailed instructions available for Bitbucket Administrators, who have only recently taken on that role as part of the required migration to the cloud.

I have restricted experience with Bitbucket in the Developer sphere but our system was setup by external folk who are no longer available.

All assistance appreciated.

Hi @Sara Burns ,

Welcome to Atlassian community!

No you can install it from the Managae Apps section Settings >> ADD_ONS >>Find new apps >> Install the apps ( Bitbucket Cloud migration assistant )

Please find the below documents to Install Bitbucket Migration assistant and process steps.

Kindly check and let me know If you have any slight doubts.

Please accpet the answer If it helps you 😊.

Thank you Sanjen.  Turns out the license update had not been applied to Bitbucket due to an internal issue.  Also I was Admin not SysAdmin, which is the required level I believe.  When I followed your instructions I needed to select "By Atlassian" to get the Bitbucket Cloud Migration Assistant to appear in the list.

Once visible it now had an Install button, which I could click, rather than the Request button that I had seen before.

Took a while to work this all out as the old license expired only a couple of months before the Migration Assistant was first released.  The license had been updated on Confluence so I didn't look at Bitbucket, expecting it to be the same, as I was assured that it was licensed.  Just not applied.

I shall now proceed with the migration testing.

Sara
