Importing existing Repository which is already in same bitbucket account, to different Project not working. It is giving same error, even if I have generated "App Password" for Authentication.
Any Idea? It was working couple of months ago.
Thanks
Hi @Devesh Sharma,
This error shows when the credentials are incorrect.
When you try to import a repository, if you check the field Requires authorization, you will see two fields for Username and Password.
The Username should be the Bitbucket Username of the account that you generated the app password. You can find it listed here after logging in to the account: https://bitbucket.org/account/settings/ It should not be your email address, but the username listed on that page.
After you ensure that the username is correct, if you still get the same error, I would suggest generating a new app password for the account (Repositories: Read permissions should be enough for this operation), in case you edited the app password accidentally.
In case you have multiple Bitbucket accounts, please make sure to use the credentials of an account that has access to the repo.
Please feel free to let me know how it goes.
Just a heads up, I removed the repo url from your post to protect your privacy.
Kind regards,
Theodora
