I need to get all commiters for a given repo (i have some logic for the repo name bit)

api/1.0/projects/{projectKey}/repos/{repositorySlug}/participants

Im just interested in  {@code AUTHOR}

alternately i need to run something like 

‘git shortlog –sne’, but i cannot think of a good way to clone a repo on the server
