Dear All,
I have a repository with the workspace name with ex-employee id and name.
And we have already removed the user(ex-employee) from bitbucket users who created the repository with his id. How can I rename the same without any impact.
Please advise.
Thanks
Harsha
@Harshavardhanreddy_D Welcome to the community.
Go to your Bitbucket account and click on the project workspace that you want to rename.
Click on the settings gear icon on the left-hand side and select "Workspace settings. "
In the "Workspace details" section, click on the "Edit" button next to the current workspace name.
Enter the new name for the workspace and click "Save. "
Bitbucket will now update the workspace name and all associated URLs, such as the URL for the repository. However, it is important to note that any external integrations or services that use the old workspace name will need to be updated manually.
Check that all your repositories and associated data are still accessible and working as expected.
Ensure that all team members are aware of the workspace name change and update any relevant documentation or internal processes.
It is important to note that renaming a project workspace can have an impact on external integrations or services that use the old workspace name, so it's important to review all integrations and update them as necessary.
