How to disable automatic watches for commits on which I comment?

stijn September 13, 2017

Whenever I comment on a commit in Bitbucket it automatically cofigures a watch for that commit. Also for repositories I am not explicitly watching. However I aleady use Hipchat to get notifications from those reporitories for Bitbucket so that watch is superfluous: now I get emails for each change to a commit I commented on (and forgot to turn off the watch), and I see it in Hipchat. Disabling email notifications all together is not an option as it is useful for other things (@mentions etc, reporitories I do not check with hipchat). Is there a way to stop Bitbucket from automatically adding a watch on a per-repository basis, or some workaround?

Hi there,

I`m afraid that there is no way to automatically disable this option.
As a workaround, I would recommend you to disable only the notification related with each repository
To do his: Go to Settings > Notifications
