I'm trying to add an SSH key to my new bitbucket account. However, when I paste it, I get an error message: "Someone has already added that SSH key."

Then I remembered it could be my old account. So I login there, remove the key, try again, but get the same error message again. I wait a couple hours, maybe it needs to be cleared from some internal cache or something like that, try again, still get the same error message.

How do I resolve this?

Hi Dinko, welcome to the Community!

That might have been a temporary issue. If you're sure your SSH key is not being used in any other Bitbucket Cloud account, then you should be good to use it again.

If you're still getting the same error message, please let us know so we can continue looking further into it.

Alternatively, you can also use a new one. The instructions can be found at Set up an ssh key.

Hope that helps,

Ana
