How long are downloads unavailable after making a bitbucket repository public?

After I changed a bitbucket repository from private to public, I can no longer access the Downloads page. It says "Downloads unavailable. We are currently updating the privacy flag for this repository's downloads. Try again soon". Is soon in the order of minutes, hours, or might this take even longer?

Bitbucket uses Amazon for hosting of downloads. When you switch a repo from public to private or the other way around we have a background process that goes off and updates the permissions on the files. This could take a few minutes depending on how many files need to be updated.

If you see this taking much longer than it should, you can open a support request and we'll help get you sorted.
