How do I work with my friend with the bitbucket repository?

seriiserii825 August 26, 2020

Good day.
I created a project for myself on bitbucket a long time ago.
Now it's time for another developer to work on the project as well.
I have worked alone so far and have no teamwork experience.
The repository is private.
I read the documentation and added the partner's email address in the repository settings.
He received an email in the mail and he agreed.
I checked, and in fact in the terminal for the git it uses the address from the repository.
He cloned the project to himself, made changes, but cannot push, since he has no rights.
What have I left out?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @seriiserii825, welcome!

You probably forgot to grant him the right permissions :) A user can have read-only permissions, write, or admin, you can learn more about them in our documentation Grant repository access to users and groups. Make sure he has 'write' or 'admin', otherwise he won't be able to collaborate with you.

Once that's solved, he should be able to work with you. If there are still any issues, let us know so we can continue helping you!

Hope that helps,

Ana
