How do I share a single repo to someone with or without a bitbucket account?

emammendes April 7, 2019

Hello

I wonder how I could share private repos to someone else.  What I did was:

a) Under  settings  I have created a group and added someone's email address (under Access management and user groups). The group is set to  "have no   read       write       admin      access to this account's repositories."

b) Under settings for a specific repo (repository details - user and groups details), I have added the above group and  Read is showing.

I just want him/her to have access to that specific repo and nothing else.

I am running a free account.

Many thanks

Ed

Hi Eduardo, welcome to the Community!

To share a repository with someone else that person will need to have a Bitbucket Cloud account. That person doesn't need to be added to a group, you can directly grant that person access only to the repository you want. You can also choose which level of permissions they'll have. You can do so using this URL https://bitbucket.org/<username>/newrepo/admin/access (make sure to replace <username> with your actual username).

Let us know if you have any questions,

Ana
