I have a username (not email address) and an API access token that I use with a git client to access my repositories on bitbucket. Until recently, I was able to log in to bitbucket with an email address and password in a web browser, but these were lost. Is there a way to initiate recovery with the username, or to log in with the username instead of the email address?
I have a similar issue.
Around a year ago, I opened a new account for a project and naturally used the name of the product the start-up was making. As I returned to the development and wanted to use proper bug tracking, I discovered that I could not log in.
I still have the working SSH keys and the password. For some reason, my password manager did not store the email address. I tried the obvious ones, but nothing matched.
I need the email that is associated with the projects to recover it.
Of course, I possess a lot of information that I can give to the Atlassian Team (but I have no other way to contact them other than this Community):
- Account creation date
- Repositories of the account (they are private)
- All the commits are made with the email address I'm using to write now (by mistake, but hopefully, it can help in recovery).
The main reason I'm trying hard is the account name; I only used the account for a couple of weeks.
Thanks for your help,
Pavel.

Hello @Gregory Graham ,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I've opened an internal ticket using the email address you used to post this question, so we can help you on finding out what email is associated with the bitbucket workspace you are trying to access. This is so you don't have to share private information in the public community, as the internal ticket can only be accessed by you and Atlassian staff.
You should be receiving an email with the ticket link soon. In case you don't receive it, please let me know so I can share the ticket link here.
Thank you, @Gregory Graham !
Patrik S
