How do I make a HEAD my origin/master?

Hi, I've gotten myself into an awkward state where I want to keep and continue on with the changes I have on my current branch but cannot because a different branch is considered the origin/master. Referencing the screenshot below, I would like to:

1. Delete all changes in the red branch
2. Continue life from the HEAD in the blue/current branch.

I'm sure this is a simple maneuver but any help in doing so with confidence would be appreciated.

I believe I solved this by using Mike's advice here.
