By default bitbucket shows only active branches.
We have develop (main branch) and release branches.
The release branches are not shown even though these releases are still active.
Where can I mark those branches as active ?
Failing that, how can I make the "all branches" selection the default.
This problem did not exists in bitbucket server, it shows all branches by default
How can I follow up on that issue without being confronted by other frustrated comments. I.e. only see Atlassian updates on an issue.
If I had known all the limitations of bitbucket.org up-front we would have seriously considered moving to github. We stuck with Atlassian because it was known to our users, but our users still have to cope with missing features and different behavior.
Hi @ccenvcvb,
It is not possible to mark branches as active. Any branch that shares history with the repository's main branch but is ahead of the main branch by some commits that are not yet present within the main branch, is considered an active branch.
I'm afraid that it is also not possible to make the "all branches" selection the default. We have a feature request about this in our issue tracker:
The request has been closed because it is unlikely to be worked on in the near future. However, you can leave your feedback there, as our product managers continue to monitor even closed requests.
Kind regards,
Theodora
