Hi,
I'm able to use bitbucket APIs for querying branches & pull requests infromation as a standalone script using Basic Authorization header.
I now wanted to query the APIs as part of the pipleines and was wondering how can I do that since I'm not sure how the authentication will happen now.
Hey Himanshu,
Calls to the API can be made via authentication with an App Password, you can create an App Password by following the steps below:
https://support.atlassian.com/bitbucket-cloud/docs/create-an-app-password/
Once you have created an App Password, you can add this along with your username as repository variables and then pass these variables through to your curl command in Bitbucket Pipelines - for example:
curl -X GET -u $USERNAME:$APPPASSWORD https://api.bitbucket.org/commandgoeshere
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
- Ben (Bitbucket Cloud Support)
