Hey,
I was using the email:notify pipe with a gmail account. In the google account I had to set the security option "Less secure app access" to "on". On May 30, 2022, this setting will no longer be available. Right now I have changed to another smtp provider. Is there a way to solve this issue with gmail? Otherwise you probably should remove it from the documentation.
Thanks a lot and have a nice day
Hey Malte,
Thank you for raising this to our attention. I have raised a feature request with our development team to find potential solutions for this change - please feel free to "Watch" and "Vote" on this ticket to receive future updates related to it, at present there is no workaround:

Cheers!

Yeah well, I guess gmail will simply not work anymore. Thanks for your time!

Hi @Malte Begerau , @Ben .
Our Atlassian pipe team released new version of pipe email-notify:0.7.0, which explains how to use your gmail accounts in near future.
You need to set up google app passwords.
@Ben: this issue can be marked as Done.
Cheers.
