Git LFS error gob: bad data: field numbers out of bounds

Hi,

We are testing a project that works with git lfs, and started to receive during git lfs locks (or locking file) the error-

Unable to create lock system: init lock cache: Problem reading updated key/value data from <repo location>\.git\lfs\lockcache.db: gob: bad data: field numbers out of bounds

What can cause the problem?

Solution:

remove the file <repo location>\.git\lfs\lockcache.db

rm <repo location>\.git\lfs\lockcache.db

Thanks, but what is causing the issue?

It is weird to delete the file every few weeks.
