I have been warned not to use the private repo functionality as the code in the private repo will be made public:
"...is that the stuff only stays private for 3 years then goes public"
I have just created a private repo on a bitbucket account for the first time. It is unlikely that the number of developers using the account will ever exceed 3 nevermind 5, but am concerened that the code we develop in these private repos may eventually be made public with little I can do about that.
Can you confirm what the policy is on free private repos please.
Hi Carl, I don't know where you got that information, but I can confirm that is not correct. If you choose for a repo to be private, it will be kept private until you decide to make it public at some point (if you ever decide that). Otherwise, it will be private forever.
Let us know if you have any other questions!
Ana
Thank you for the confirmation.
